André Kertész was a photographer born on July 2, 1984 in Hungary and died on September 28, 1985. A majority of his worked was in black and white photography. I’ve always been interested in photography with strong compositions that appear surreal without the use of any editing. Even without editing and color, Kertész’s use of obscure camera angles and shadows allow him to create very interesting compositions that appear surreal. His work has definitely inspired me to think more creatively when creating compositions and artwork. I respect his ability to create complex photos without many of the resources that photographers have today.
