It can be argued that the devastating effects of climate change are best translated visually. In her work, Claire Harbage combines photography and watercolor to demonstrate the realities of the melting of glaciers on saltwater marshes depriving the trees of the nutrients they need. I really appreciate her meshing of the two forms and her use of color (or almost lack thereof) to emphasize the severity of the situation. She’s one of many artists raising awareness for climate change through art.
