User Experience (or UX) has become an increasingly important detail of consumer-facing product design. As we have discussed in class with our user manual, it is important for consumer-facing products to both be visually appealing and friendly to interact with. Design firm Bagaar created User Inyerface as a parody of the worst parts of current website designs, showing how frustrating the interaction between the user and the website they designed can possibly be. I find this to be a fascinating thought experiment that is genuinely frustrating to interact with but still has many a disturbing number of similarities to websites I have used that don’t try to make these intentional mistakes.
