These sculptures, by Sara Asnaghi, are made entirely out of edible materials including barley grains, sugar, rice, lentils, candy, pasta, chilli and hemp seeds. She is questioning the role of food in art while trying to advance the notion that we must consciously think about the food we are putting into our bodies.
There has been a decent amount of art made with food. I wonder if these are meant to rot, or be viewed as objects or be eaten. I think that would change the position of the person interacting with the art.
