The Apple Logo

I recently read an article about the iconic Apple logo, and found it interesting to see its development over time. A majority of the changes to the icon have been to make sure the color of the icon looks good with new products, but other than that the icon has basically maintained the same shape since 1977. What I found most interesting was the amount of detail that was put into the icon itself. Even though the logo itself seems so simple, I was surprised to see how specific the proportions in the design were. I also never realized that the logo was broken into three parts: the apple, the leaf, and the bite. Every time I saw the logo I always saw it as one entity, and maybe this is because of the overall design of it. If you want to learn more about this, check out:

It is crazy that the apple logo has not changed. I think that is a credit to the foresight, and the brand aesthetic that have always been there. Although their stuff always looks sleek, they are not simple. Design usually takes extra work and time to look effortless and streamlined.
