Recycled Art

Artist Lisa Nilsson made use of old books by turning them into anatomical diagrams. “Quilling” or “Paper Filigree” is a method of rolling and shaping paper. Nilsson utilized this technique to recreate beautifully detailed, and incredibly accurate, cross-sectional diagrams of human anatomy along with some of other animals. Her creations are amazing to look at, and from far enough, truly look like a printed anatomy diagram.
