This article talks about Howard University and Amazon Studio’s program called Howard Entertainment that will give African American, Latinx and Native American students a chance to study and train alongside entertainment executives. it seems like a great experience that will offer Howard students a unique interdisciplinary curriculum, coupled with hands-on work experiences and networking with Amazon’s industry partners. It’s exciting to see a HBCU working with an industry leader and helping to funnel minorities into these fields.
It is a really cool move for amazon to seek out minorities to work with, and Howard is a really good school. What do you think beyond being excited? This is digging into huge ideas of access and representation. What are your thoughts about that?
