In the spirit of Halloween last week, I wanted to share an interesting fact I discovered recently. The Addams Family was created by a Penn Alum, Charles Addam. Not only is this cool but the statue of the silhouettes right outside of Annenberg are actually silhouettes of the Addams family characters. I’ve always passed by these figures and assumed they were just random people, but upon closer inspection they really do resemble the Addams family characters!

ADDC 401 Fall 2019 
I have also always wondered what they were. I wish they had a bit more detail so that we knew specifically that they are the Addams family. My question to the artist would be “Why is it unclear?”.
