This weekend, I had the pleasure of seeing An Iliad at the Arden Theatre. The show is a retelling of the Greek epic using a mix of song, modern vernacular, and classical storytelling techniques. This two person production—one poet and one musician—is truly one of the best theatrical experiences I have ever had, and the small space in which it was staged made for a deeply intimate experience shared amongst everybody in the room, actors and audience alike. Its run has been extended through this coming Sunday, and student rush tickets are only $10. Definitely check it out if you are even slightly interested in theatre. You won’t regret it.
